Day 1 Day 1: Hanoi Arrival-35 km

 

Met upon at your arrival at the airport by our guide and driver and transfer to the hotel in Hanoi. The rest of the day, our guide will show you the motorbikes and some briefing about the the trip. Overnight in Hanoi at Indochina 2 Hotel.

Day 3 Day 2: Hanoi – Vulinh-180km

 

Today, we start our drive to Vulinh village of the Dao People in YenBai which is just by the side of ThacBa lake- the biggest man-made lake in Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore this beautiful village and daily life of the local people with their unique culture, you can also do the boat trip(optional) on the lake to enjoy the fresh air, scenery of more than one thousand islets and the fishing boat and life of the ethnic groups living around. Tonight, we stay in the homestay on a stilt house with a family which is the best way to experience the real Vietnam. Overnight in a homestay.
 
Day 4 Day 2: Hanoi – Vulinh-180km

 

Today, we start our drive to Vulinh village of the Dao People in YenBai which is just by the side of ThacBa lake- the biggest man-made lake in Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will have time to explore this beautiful village and daily life of the local people with their unique culture, you can also do the boat trip(optional) on the lake to enjoy the fresh air, scenery of more than one thousand islets and the fishing boat and life of the ethnic groups living around. Day 8 Day 5: BaoLac-MeoVac-DongVan-YenNinh-200 km Meals: B

Today’s ride is really amazing with spectacular sceneries in a very mountainous and isolated area where we have the chance visit “Rock Plateau” and many different ethnic groups on the way such as: Lo Lo, Dzay and Hmong…their unique culture and life. Overnight at Yen Ninh guesthouse.

Day 9 Day 6: YenNinh-VinhQuang(HoangSuPhi)-200 km Meals: B

Another beautiful day to ride, we pass many primitive ethnic villages, this is very off and carving road among imposing mountains and amazing terraced rice fields. Tonight, we stay in VinhQuang.

Day 5 Day 3: Vu Linh –Babe- 200 km

 

We start the new day with the ride to Babe lake - Vietnam’s largest natural lake and is now the centrepiece of an extensive National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and home to many ethnic minority communities.
The National Park is covered by tropical and semi-tropical evergreen Thailandian monsoon forest. The bio diversity is rich – 50 animal species, over 400 plants and many species of insects, reptiles and birds. The ten seriously endangered animals in the park include two primates, the Black Gibbon and the Tonkinese ''snub-nosed'' monkey.
Upon arrival, you can do a beautiful boat trip (optional) to explore how beautiful is the lake or take a leisurely walk to enjoy the peaceful feeling among the picturesque nature. Tonight, we stay again in the homestay of the TAY people and you will have the chance to learn more about another ethnic group of Vietnam. Overnigth at BacNgoi village in the homestay.

Day 7 Day 4: BaBe-BaoLac-150 km Meals: B
After breakfast, we start our ride through forest of Mt. PiaOac to NguyenBinh, this is a very old bumpy road through forest and many villages of the Tay people. Late afternoon, we arrive Baolac for the night. Overnight at BaoLac guesthouse.
 
Day 10 Day 7: VinhQuang-BacHa-110 km-Saturday. Meals: B

After breakfast, we drive to BacHa, on the way, we can stop to visit CanCau Market. Upon arrival, check in hotel. The rest of the day, we will take a walk around BacHa to visit H’Mong’s king palace and BanPho viilage to experience daily life of the Nung and Flower Mong people. Overnight in BacHa in a Hotel.

Day 11 Day 8: BacHa-Sapa-100 km-Sunday Meals: B +Guide

Morning visit to weekly BacHa market where gathers many different ethnic groups. The market is not only for trading local products but also a place to meet friends, drink wine, find lovers after a hard-working week, very interesting and should not be missed. At around noon, we drive to Sapa along the Chinese border. Tonight we stay in Sapa in a hotel.

Day 12 Day 9: Sapa Meals: B

Today is free to relax and explore Sapa on your own but your guide is available at your request if you want to drive around Sapa. Overnight in Sapa in a Hotel.

Day 13 Day 10: Sapa-MuCangChai-180 km Meals: B

From Sapa town, we ride toTram TonPass which is highest pass in Vietnam with beautiful carving road and great view over HoangLienSon mountain range of which Fanxipan is the highest mount, stop over at Silver Waterfall and “Heaven Gate” where you can enjoy fresh air and nice landscape. Continue to MuCangChai via Muong Khoa, Muong Kim and Na Kim, visit many ethnic minority groups on the way. In MuCangChai, you will have the chance to see the most beautiful terraced rice fileds of Vietnam. Overnight in a hotel in MuCangChai.

Day 14 Day 11: MuCangChai-SongThao-200 km Meals: B

We leave for SongThao which is a very small village lost in the hills on west bank of Black river. The particular thing is that this is the place where we grow lacquer trees to collect the precious substance called lacquer and this is hometo lacquer makers in Vietnam. Tonight, we will stay overnight in the homestay with a local family.

Day 15 Day 12: SongThao-ThanhSon-MaiChau-180 km Meals: B

We ride to MaiChau, pass through limestone monoliths and into foothills populated by Muong people. We head straight at the main range before breaching a high and beautiful forested pass, which descends into the hidden valley of Mai Chau where we spend the night with friends in a traditional Thai stilt house.

Day 16 Day 13: MaiChau-PhuYen-170 km Meals: B

After breakfast served by the family, we ride to PhuYen, passing steadily upwards through areas inhabited by Thai people, followed by the Dao and H''Mong ethnicities at higher altitudes. The road surface is by no means smooth but the winding route offers magnificent views out over 6 ranges of mountains. We continue and approach the delta settlement of Phu Yen, set in the middle of a vast valley floor of paddy fields. Overnight in Phu Yen

Day 17 Day 14: PhuYen- SonLa- 160 km Meals: B

Ride to Son La and enjoy mountainous scenery and visit many different ethnic villages of the Thai, H’Mong..on the way. We arrive in Son La in the afternoon, check in hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 18 Day 15: SonLa-DienBien-200 km Meals: B

The road from SonLa to MuongLay is beautiful with a patchwork of rice and corn fields. Continue to DienBien-the Decisive battle in the Indochina War. The rest of the day, you are free to exlore DienBien historical sites which tell you all about this war. Overnight in Dien Bien in a hotel.

Day 19 Day 16: DienBien-Laos (MuongKhoa)-120 km Meals: B

Today, we cross TayTrang border to Laos, and drive to MuongKhoa a small town in Laos withy several stops on the way for photos and visit to the ethnic groups. Overnight in MuongKhoa iin a hotel.

Day 20 Day 17: MuongKhoa- Pakbeng-200 km Meals: B

This is beautiful day as we ride through beautiful part of Laos which is different from Vietnam such as the scenery, the people…Today, we stay in a hotel in Parbeng.

Day 21 Day 18: Pakbeng-LuongPhaBang-4-5 hours Meals: B

Today, we make a change by taking the boat trip on MekongRiver to LuongPhaBang which will take from 4-5 hours and it is great to enjoy the fresh air and experience the daily life of the people who live along the river. Overnight in LuongPhaBang in a hotel

Day 22 Day 19: Luongphabang Meals: B +Guide

Today is free day for you to explore Luongphabang on your own. Overnight in Luongphabang.

Day 23 Day 20: Luongphabang-NongKhiew-140 km Meals: B +Guide

We leave Luongphabang for NongKiew, enjoy the scenery on the way. Overnight in NongKiew.

Day 24 Day 21: NongKiew- Sam Neua -180 km Meals: B +Guide

We ride back to Vietnam via NaMeo border gate to PuLuong-A place of outstanding beauty, blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas, magnificent rice terraces and romantic villages nestled in the landscape. Tonight, we will stay overnight in a homestay with a Thai Family.

Day 26 Ngay 23: PuLuong-Hanoi-200 km Meals: B +Guide

After breakfast, we drive ride back to Hanoi. Check in upon your arrival. Overnight in Hanoi at Indochina 1 Hotel.
